Rose Quartz Ritual Set

A practice for coming home to your own heart.

The heart does not open on command. It opens the way a fist unclenches: slowly, when it finally feels safe.

I made this set for the seasons when you have been strong for everyone, and the softness you give so freely has not found its way back to you. Four pieces, one intention: to give your love somewhere to land, starting with you.

Rose quartz has been called the stone of love for as long as people have held it. Here it meets you four ways: on your altar, on your wrist, at your pulse, and between your fingers, bead by bead.

What's inside

• Anahata Mala. A 108-bead japamala of jade, rose quartz, rhodonite, pink opal, chrysoberyl, fluorite and Indian agate, finished with a heart-shaped rose quartz pendant. This is your practice piece, made for mantra and meditation.
• Rose Quartz Chunky Bracelet. Generous, irregular stones, each a little different. The piece you wear on ordinary days, when the practice is over and life is not.
• Heart Opener Perfume Oil. Rose oud, floral and warm, with gemstones resting in the bottle. Anoint your wrists and the center of your chest before you sit.
• Aura Coated Rose Quartz Tower. Soft pink with a rainbow sheen. Set it at the center of your altar or bedside so the space keeps the intention when you can't.

The ritual

Every set comes with a ritual guide drawn from my Kundalini Yoga practice: a single opening ceremony to awaken your pieces, built around Yogi Bhajan's Meditation for a Calm Heart, and a simple way to keep the thread alive each day after.

You don't need to be an experienced meditator. You only need a few quiet minutes and the willingness to stay with yourself a little longer than usual.

How to use your Rose Quartz Ritual Set

Begin with one opening ceremony, about 20 minutes. After that, the set lives with you every day.

1. Make the altar. Set the rose quartz tower at the center. Lay the mala and bracelet in a circle around it.
2. Anoint. One touch of Heart Opener oil on each wrist and one at the center of your chest.
3. Arrive. Close your eyes and take three slow breaths, each exhale a little longer than the inhale.
4. The calm heart breath. Both palms over your heart. Breathe in for four, pause, breathe out for six, pause. Stay here for 3 minutes.
5. Count your beads. Silently, I receive on the inhale, I give on the exhale, one bead at a time around the mala.
6. Seal it. Slip on the bracelet. Write one sentence: What would I do today if I loved myself?

Every day after: wear the bracelet, keep the tower on your altar, and come back to the mala for even 11 breaths. Reach for the oil before any conversation that asks for an open heart.
